Wow...

I've been so busy lately making $20/hour at Harley and now (since I've been "signed off" a.k.a. fully trained) I'm working mandatory overtime this Saturday to the tune of $31/hour PLUS my supervisor kicks major ass and is buying us pizza from Bambinos. Oh yea, working overtime with the college students and getting free pizza from the boss.

My job is so lax, I love it! Up until today I've worked with only full-time employees in the windshield department. I, myself am working assembly with a nice guy named Tom who, might I add, has the cutest son! Just yesterday Tom was telling me how his 10-year old son was flirting with some older women and it was pretty funny. In our spare time (like when we're waiting for the oven operators to make us windshields) we fling rubber bands at each other and these rubber ends that come on as protectants on some of the "special" windshields. We also get to listen to whatever music strikes us and we sing out loud and the forklift drivers beep their horns and the assembly and makers use their/our power tools to play along with the beep... We're quite the musical bunch. Hmmm, I'm going to go eat some food and veg in front of the tv with Kait... The big wind-down from work.

There is a downside... I get a lot of metal splinters in my hands, cardboard cuts (from putting together the boxes in which we ship out the shields in), and other various injuries... Damn, today I got the nastiest cut on my knuckle when I flipped (boxes... it's part of the process) and the blood ran down my hand. Other than that work kicks much ass. Night.
